ABOUT Michelle Anthony

Michelle has over two decades’ experience in employment law and industrial / workplace relations, having practiced in both large and boutique law firms, as well as worked in-house in HR and consulting roles in large organisations across a variety of industries.

Michelle is recognised by her clients for her wealth of knowledge, skills and experience in Enterprise Bargaining across the public and private sectors, including in relation to the development of bargaining strategies, negotiation and representation at the bargaining table, consultation and communication with stakeholders and parties, drafting Enterprise Agreements, and advising on legal compliance issues.

Over Michelle’s career she has advised on, and undertaken numerous workplace investigations, including in relation to disciplinary processes, sexual harassment, bullying, misconduct and reportable conduct.

Michelle has in excess of twenty-five years’ experience working in employment law and Workplace / Industrial Relations.

Michelle has extensive experience practising as an Employment Lawyer with various law firms, including Phillips Fox (now DLA Piper) and Slater and Gordon Lawyers. Michelle has also worked in-house as Director Industrial Relations at Professionals Australia and at many other organisations, including National Australia Bank, Accenture, Unisys and University of Melbourne.

Through working in-house in organisations such as Accenture and NAB, Michelle has acquired a deep understanding of the importance of workplace culture and how lawful and consistent management of an organisation’s workforce is critical to the organisation’s success.
